The historic village near the racecourse.
Catterick Village is a small historic village in DL10, sitting just off the A1 between Richmond and the Garrison. It's a different place to Catterick Garrison (DL9), the military base further south. Both are on our weekly round, but each has its own page.
From our Richmond base it's only about 10 minutes' drive, so we're in and out of this area constantly. Homes, holiday lets and small businesses around the racecourse and the surrounding hamlets all get the same standard of clean.
What your Catterick clean covers.
Catterick Village is not the same job as the Garrison.
Catterick Village gets mixed up with Catterick Garrison online, but the cleaning demand is different. The village side is usually more domestic cleaning, deep cleans, smaller commercial jobs and the odd end-of-tenancy reset. The Garrison side is where march-out work and SFA inspection pressure sit. Both matter, but they are not the same clean.
For village homes, Nikki looks at the property, access, frequency and what needs doing first. A regular domestic clean needs consistency. A deep clean needs enough time to deal with the built-up bits properly. A commercial clean near the village has to fit around staff, customers and opening hours. It is still local, owner-run work, just with a different shape from a military march-out. That distinction helps the quote make sense from the start. If the job is actually tied to an SFA handover, say that early so Nikki can quote it as inspection work rather than a normal domestic clean. It saves awkwardness later and stops the wrong checklist being used for the wrong job. Boring, maybe. Useful, definitely. Especially when keys, inspections and moving dates are already stressful.
